Toyota is reimagining the full-size sedan with an all new, premium model that delivers powerful accelerations, exceptional efficiency from a standard hybrid powertrain and confident handling. Built to be comfortable while offering a sophisticated ride with impressive performance, this bold design also marks Toyota’s first application of its brand-new HYBRID MAX System powertrain technology which provides customers a performance hybrid option that is both powerful and efficiency.
Two hybrid powertrains in the brand-new 2023 Toyota Crown
The 2023 Toyota Crown will offer three different grades: XLE, Limited and Platinum. The XLE and Limited models come with the latest generation of the Toyota Hybrid System that pairs a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with an electric motor while the impressive HYBRID MAX engine pairs a turbocharged four-cylinder with a set of electric motors. The HYBRID MAX offers 340 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful hybrid engines around.
The Toyota Crown will be an efficient and powerful vehicle. Despite having over 300 horsepower, it averages just 8.4 liters per 100 kilometers. You will have a lot of trouble finding another car that is this powerful with this level of efficiency.
There are two distinct all-wheel drive systems offered on the 2023 Toyota Crown. The first is called E-Four AWD can send power between the front and rear axle using the rear electric motor. In normal conditions, 100% of the available torque is sent to the front wheels but up to 80% can be sent to the rear as needed. The E-Four Advanced AWD system paired with the HYBRID MAX engine on the Platinum grade uses the same basic setup but there is always power sent to the rear wheels through the eAxle electric motor. In normal conditions the distribution is set at 70 to the front and 30 to the back, but power can go all the way to a 20/80 ratio as needed.
The Toyota Crown is equipped with three driving modes - NORMAL, ECO and SPORT. Each mode changes how the Crown behaves, offering either better efficiency, more comfort, or improved performance. There’s also an EV mode that allows limited all-electric driving while the HYBRID MAX powertrain has three other modes: SPORT+. CUSTOM, and COMFORT.
The Toyota Crown is a car that provides excellent comfort with advanced connectivity and safety features. It also has the latest Toyota multimedia system with advanced voice commands. Discover the brand-new 2023 Toyota Crown today, one of the most impressive new luxury sedans coming this year.
