For the 8th year in a row, Toyota had more Canadian Black Book Retained Value Awards than any other automaker. The Japanese automaker also received six ALG Residual Value Awards, more than any other brand for the 3rd straight year. It would seem that when it comes to resale value, no other manufacturer can compete with Toyota.
Toyota takes home 9 Canadian Black Book Retained Value Awards
The Canadian Black Book Retained Value Awards were announced earlier this month at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto. Eight Toyota vehicles won their respective categories by offering the best retained value. The ninth award went to Toyota for the overall retained value of its sport utility vehicles and trucks.
Looking at 2013 models, CBB determined the approximate retained value in 2017 of every vehicle in each category, and then ranks each model. Vehicles with the highest retained value have a better resale value, and therefore provide better value to consumers.
Along with the Canadian Black Book awards, Toyota took home six ALG Residual Value Awards as well for 2017, more than any other automaker. Toyota has won the most ALG awards of any brand for the 3rd year in a row, now.
“At the heart of the great product we deliver to Canadians is our commitment to adding value to the overall ownership experience,” said Larry Hutchinson, President and CEO of TCI. “These awards are deeply meaningful because they speak to the long-term benefits our customers enjoy across our broad line-up of vehicles, including exceptional quality, great fuel economy and lower cost of ownership.”
